Our FAST Georgia weekend

Yep...it was fast...but it was PACKED!! Trip and I went to see our darling daughter and her cute husband this past weekend. It had been TOOOO long since we had seen them!! We got there Friday about 7pm...of course we stopped at the Varsity on the way in!!! Mmmmm-mmmm, love me some Varsity chili cheese slaw dogs!!! We went through the drive through and took our dinner to eat at our daughter's house! She and Greg were babysitting her two favorite (non blood related) girls!! Karis has GROWN SOOOO much!! And Laurel was just a cutie pie!!! We played with the girls a little and watched a program with Karis before Jillian put them to bed. LOL.. I guess Trip and I will be "Lolli and Pop" to every kid we meet that is under 5!!! We really enjoyed seeing them! Saturday, bright and early...well bright anyway...we went to the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain....BIG festival...and it was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! and SOOO CROWDED!! We lasted a couple of hours and then we couldn't take it anymore!!! We left... but on the way back...we stopped at Brandsmart...Trip's favorite store!!! We actually were looking for an iron...I wanted a Rowenta.....it was a little more expensive, but they say it's worth it. Well Trip won out since he does ALOT more ironing then I do...and we went with the SHARK... From there we went back to Jillian and Greg's...Greg went to the AT&T store to get his phone woes taken care of...and Trip, Jillian and I headed to Books-A-Million...I LOVE going to bookstores!!! Well...this time was kind of a bust..they didn't have the book Trip was looking for..and Jillian didn't get the one she was looking for..and since I have my ereader... I don't buy books anymore!! HAH!! I can download!! I did, however, come away with a $2 book light for my ereader!! YAY!!! After we got back to the house....change of clothes...and we were OFF AGAIN...to Flipz for dinner!! SOOOOO GOOOOD!!! On the way back to the house...a MAJOR storm hit...poor ole Greg drove us all safely through it!! We settled down to a good movie..The Ugly Truth...we enjoyed it!!! Time for bed...and then it was Sunday...coffee...re-pack...and hit the road....til next time!!!! We had a great time...and we LOVED seeing our kids!!!!
