Mother's Day Present!

I bet most mothers out there, when asked "What do you want for Mother's Day?" the standard reply is "nothing, I can't think of a thing!"... But this year I DID want something...I wanted it very badly!

Several months ago Trip and I were in the Family Christian store where I saw the Grandmother's Bible, and I wanted it!! BUT even though I was looking for a new Bible...my last one was given to me on Mother's Day about 15 years ago from my son and it was getting kind of worn (which I guess is a good thing)... I really wanted.....wait for it....YES I AM OLD......are you READY??? ???? I was looking for a LARGE PRINT Bible!!! yes, it is a shame...but there it is.. I NEEDED a LARGE print Bible....because if I read my Bible at night sometimes I have already taken off my glasses...and I CAN'T SEE the print of a regular Bible without my glasses on! SO, even though I LOVED the Grandmother's Bible that I had found, it was not, nor did it come, in Large Print!! I did not buy it. A GRANDMOTHER'S BIBLE that DID NOT come in large print!!! What???? So, of course, I went home and emailed the company that publishes the Grandmother's Bible to ask WHY this particular Bible did not come in large print...and they informed me that it was, indeed, coming out in large print, and would be out April 1st!! I almost ordered one right then...but then my husband said..."why don't you wait? You know Mother's Day is just around the corner!" So I waited...

Mother's Day came... I was in Burlington with my Mother in Law, my daughter and son both called me that morning to wish me a good day.. My daughter was in Georgia...this was the in-laws turn to have them on Mother's Day. She sent a card that I opened and I will get my present from her the next time I see her! A day with my daughter, what a wonderful present and I look forward to it, pedicures and shopping, lunch and a movie, I can't wait!!

I opened my card from my husband...he had taken me out to dinner the night before and it was very nice...

We got home Mother's Day afternoon and my son was there...with a card....and the card said...YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S BIBLE IS ON THE WAY!!!.

.......it arrived today!!!! And it is beautiful...and it is LARGE PRINT....and I absolutely LOVE it!!

It has lots of "extras" in it, places to list your grandchildren, devotions, prayers, etc... I really needed a new Bible! And I know I will cherish this one....it will be my last. Thank you Andy, Kari, Eva and James.....more than all the stars in the sky....indeed!
