11 for 11

Welcome 2011!!!

Ok..we'll try 11 for 11 this year.....here goes!

1. I will eat healthier.... No, this is not a weight loss resolution! Yes, I NEED to lose weight, but hopefully that will be a by product of eating healthier! 3 meals a day, and snacks...I will be mindful of what and when I am eating!
2. I will try to find the good in EVERY situation this year...I have always heard "There is a silver lining in every cloud"...well I will search for that lining harder!!!
3. I will be a better LISTENER,.... everybody wants to talk, everybody has an opinion, so they don't necessarily have to hear mine!
4. I will give back...I want to find a way to volunteer, to give of my time. I want to take the time to make our community or church or somebody else's world a little better!
5. I will spend more time in God's Word.... Last year I made the resolution to read the Bible all the way through...and sadly, I didn't follow through! I realize though, that the reading that I did; helped alot and I learned alot...so this year I will just say I will regularly spend time reading, studying, and continuing my relationship with my Savior.
6. I will be more thankful.... I am blessed and most of the time I realize that. But I need to stop a little more often and really give thanks for all I have, my family, and my friends!
7. I will laugh every day...I will find SOMETHING to laugh about, or laugh at!! Laughter is life's best medicine!
8. I will have at least ONE girls weekend with my best friend!....We have neglected each other, life can do that! But this year, we will have at least ONE weekend to just be US!!
9. I will attend church more....I love the church we attend now, but it is a mega church...so if you don't go...you can listen on line (which we do)..but I need to actually GO more often!
10. I will get up in time so Trip and I can do our morning devotions!... I am a sleepy head and LOVE that 5 extra minutes in the morning..but I will get up so we will have enough time to start our day right!
11. And last...but not least...YES, I will find a way to MOVE more!! I KNOW I need to exercise...but the motivation is just not there for me...so this is going to have to be just pure HABIT. I have got to find some sort of exercise I can tolerate and then make it a habit..(they say it takes at least 3 weeks to make a habit) SO....first I have to find something to do that I can keep doing....ahhhh it will be a journey!!! LOL...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
