I'm getting CRAFTY!!!!!

Well... with YouTube...ANYBODY can get crafty!!! But if you know ME...this is a miracle!! I have taken up crocheting!!! And I really like it!!! Not only have I taken it up..but I have FINISHED a project!! THAT is a miracle in itself!!!

I saw this cute baby blanket a while ago and thought I would like to learn to crochet...really crochet!! So I googled the name of the stitch and found a youtube video that shows you step by step how to DO it!! I can't read a pattern...so I get frustrated and usually give up...but not this time!! It was SOO nice to be able to SEE her crochet the stitches and follow along... I have discovered it helps me to crochet when I am in the car as a passenger...so my wonderful husband LOVES that I am crocheting and NOT watching and commenting sweetly on his driving!!!

So.......here my first finished crocheted piece!! A blanket for Baby Caroline!!

Here is what it looks like up close and personal!! This is the "puff" stitch, and it was alot of fun to do...not only relaxing!!!
My biggest mistake was I should have used a softer yarn...but I didn't know!! Oh well it will be a very sturdy blanket for Caroline and Caroline's children and her children's children... I hope!!
