
Oh. my goodness!! Andy set out to make a "good" pound cake...He was experimenting so he made THREE types of pound cake! He used European butter, because he said the butter fat content is higher.. In one he used buttermilk...in the second he just used the usual stuff, and in the third he used sour cream. He made a citrus icing that he poured over all of them. He said that was so the flavor of the cake would come out better....ooooooh and did it ever!!! They were ALLL wonderful!! I can't choose which is the best, they are all awesome!! The one made with the buttermilk tasted VERY rich and buttery..all of them had the dense consistancy of a great pound cake! It is GOOD to have a son that is a Chef!!!
