Christmas Eve was spent in Burlington as usual... We had dinner, we as in Trip, his mother, Andy, Kari, Eva, James, and me. Jillian and Greg were in Georgia having there own little Christmas! They were to come on the 26th...so just before dinner we just let the kids open a few presents.
After already having been in Charlotte at Kari's family Christmas, both kids were pros at present opening!
The BEST present of the evening, however, were from Mammie!! Cups filled with her homemade cheese straws!!!
After dinner and present opening...Trip, his mom, and I left this cozy scene and proceded to the midnight service at Macedonia Lutheran....love this service! The candles, the music...it is just a small acknowledgement of what the Reason for the season really is!
When we went to bed...the stockings were hung by the chimney with care....
